Life as an Artist

Mon Apr 13, 2009, 2:08 AM
...Life on the Edge.

So I am back in Germany, I went to the Art retreat in London last week.

I joined an organization called Pick-A-Pocket, the focus is to end extreme poverty by using the arts and to bring awareness and change. We are working on a book, we spent the last 3 months in Africa and India to be in places of poverty and to build relationships with people there. We where learning peoples stories, and really getting to know them and their situation. The purpose of the book is to tell those stories, there is a potential tour slated for the late summer of 09 to endorse the book. I will keep everyone posted.

As for me, I am going to work with this group and run after this goal with my entire life, Art with a purpose is always much more fufilling than art that is empty and dry.

Cheers

Happy the man and happy he alone, he who can call today his own; he who secure within can say, "Tomorrow do thy worst, for I have lived today".
